About Us...
The best way to visualize the spirit and essence of Saint Catherine School, is to look into the eyes of the children that we serve. Please click here to view our recent year in photos.

Our student body...
Our student population consists of:
  • 66 percent Caucasian
  • 16 percent Hispanic
  • 9 percent Native-American
  • 9 percent African-American

There are 83 families who have children matriculating at Saint Catherine this year. Approximately 43 percent of the students are parishioners at Saint Catherine Church.

The median income for families with children at Saint Catherine School is approximately $50,000. Nearly 25 percent have a family income of less than $30,000.

Nearly 45 percent of our families subsidize their tuition with St. Francis of Assisi and/or Friends of Catholic Education tuition assistance programs. We are one of only three schools in the Diocese that provides assistance to more than 10 percent of their respective populations.

Approximately 30 percent of our student population receives free/reduced lunch.

Parish and Community Support...

The Saint Catherine parish and school community has a history of active support of our mission. As a working model of Catholic stewardship, the families of the parish and school are committed to the vision of the campus. The patrons of the school alone logged more than 3,700 hours of volunteer service in the 2004-2005 school year. In addition, the church allocates more than 25 percent of its annual budget to help subsidize the operation of Saint Catherine School. As further example of historical commitment, within the last 20 years, a new church, activity center and a commercial kitchen have been erected on the campus without incurring long-term debt.

The Saint Catherine community makes a significant contribution to the formation of young Catholics. Over the past 10 years more than 65 percent of our graduates have advanced on to Catholic high schools in the area. Our mission and vision of being a model stewardship parish is important and must continue. Saint Catherine began as a mission church and school. In order to continue our successful history, we must appeal to our parishioners, the Diocese and the community at large for continued support. What started 78 years ago to meet the needs of an immigrant population continues today in a world where faith and values are challenged. Saint Catherine is a living, public example of Catholic values for both Catholics and non-Catholics served through faith and education.
