The community of Saint Catherine has educated people in heart, mind and spirit
since it was established as a mission church in 1927. The existing school was constructed in 1955 and the church was built in 1986. The parish community continues to grow and to provide opportunities for academic and spiritual growth. Our current school population of 129 students reaches beyond the immediate Tulsa area to a large number of surrounding communities. Test scores of our students reflect marked academic achievement. The stewardship based curriculum is not only helping our students succeed academically, but is forming them to be responsible and productive members of society with strong faith-based values.
Our current building has now reached its 50th anniversary, and although dedicated educators continue to make a difference in the lives of our students, the challenge of conducting classes in a building that is quickly deteriorating makes attracting new teachers and students difficult.
Catholic education of our young people continues as a long standing tradition in the Saint Catherine Parish. A new education facility will allow Saint Catherine to continue welcoming and educating students of all backgrounds and faiths. Like living stones, the members of our parish can continue to touch the lives of many and bring the spirit of God into this community.
